Strong, soft, flexible, and lasts for a couple years (I've left it outside too . . . ). In my situation the sun ruins everything because it so hot and sunny. This product lasted almost 2 years and I had to cut old stuff off to replace it. Had been using soft wired, bendable stuff that comes on a spool prior to this. I vastly prefer this. It's easier to cut, easier to store (comes in a little paper pouch) , easier to configure, stretches well, and one roll does a lot of vegetables. Highly recommend. It is not elastic-y like a hair band. It is more like the stuff you used to weave pot holders out of when you were a kid at camp, lol. It has stretch to it, but it is more of a 100% cotton kinda stretch.
