My other cat, who typically does not play with treat toys as much, does not have quite as long of a snout and had some difficulty getting the treat out of the compartment without using her paw to pull it out. Definitely a little frustrating for her, so it make take a little modification to make the toy work for her. Overall, though, I'm very satisfied with the puzzle toy. It's quiet, big, and feels durable.

A: I suppose it can be. I feed my cat pate so that would not fall out of the bowl. Something more runny would not stay in the bowl.

Love this puzzle for giving my cat some mental stimulation. Very good quality and it's nice and easy, good for beginners who haven't done puzzles before. The only negative is that some of the pieces slide down too easily, moving on their own and revealing the treats without any work.
