As soon as I tried this bag I saw 2 flaws: One will be obstructive to the usability of this backpack -- and the second one might be the reason why the item received one star by some reviewers.FLAW 1: The Shoulder strap placement: Now I owned the 17" Platero backpack and it was love at 1st use. Now the reason why I bring up the 17" version with regards to the shoulder strap is this: In this 15.6" edition the straps arc over the large zippered compartment at the back. This may on first glance not appear to be a problem until you want to zip it open. You find your fingers fumbling under the straps just to get it unzipped open. It gets worse when you want to put in your laptop. You have to "wing out" the straps -- and even then the space that action creates may not be wide enough to insert your computer. Where that fails, you then try to go under the straps to get to the compartment.In the bigger 17" version this silly flaw doesn't exist. The shoulder straps are sewn directly into the backside of the backpack so there's no obstruction.FLAW 2: Zipper rails: Now this is where I saw some blistering reviews about this product. The zipper slider is quite stiff when you move it along the chain rail. This could account for freezing and/or outright breakage of the slider. Again, I did not experience this with the bigger 17" version or with most other backpacks I have used.The quality of material used feels great and this would have been a recommend but I'll have to say, if you're going to purchase this then let it be that these things I mentioned aren't a deal breaker for you.Hope you found this review helpful.

I haven't left this backpack since bought it in 11/2015, whennever and wherever i am out of home. Working as freelancer in video production, i can put all of my gear enough for a shoot and edit in this backpack. I also traveled out of town bringing personal things and clothing for a 3-4 days trip with my camera gear, my 15"" macbook pro, chargers, audio gears, not mention my travel tripod fixed right in this backpack.What i like the most is all zippers like tank chain wheel. I sometime abused this packback, put everything i could in but zippers were tight up perfectly like a tank chain wheel. Recently, just saw a little wear down on shoulder trap. I would give this packback for 5 stars. I bought this laptop noticed it has 2 year guaranty free of hassle and wondering if the seller would do something; Make me happy or not i would recommenf this laptop to every one.

I really love backpacks, I use it every day.I was looking for one to fit all my tech gadget and fits my everyday needs. I work in corporate sales and need a backpack​ that looks elegant and I found what I was looking with this Platero Backpack.The size is perfect for me, not too big but not small at all. The materials looks very resistant and the zippers opens and closes smoothly. The backpack came with a combination lock to secure watch you need to secure.The laptop compartment is really good. Is behind the back strap in a secure and convinience location and don't use internal storage space. The weight with the laptops feels very good balanced.Have some organization pockets in the inside to put your tablet, notebooks, cell phones or whatever you want to carrie.It feels really comfortable in the shoulders with all my gadgets and laptop. The back padding feels awesome.Really is my favorite backpack so far. Fully recommended.

Bought for my son to start high school. He is thrilled with is professional backpack that I can tell will take good care of the County laptop.Update - 4 weeks into school year; one of the zipper pulls came off including the part that pulls the coils together to make it zip. We will attempt to put it back on and whip stitch the end, but wanted to say, don't treat your zippers roughly; and check to make sure the stopper is at the end. It does not look like it was clamped well at the end. Otherwise, he still loves it. Correction - when we looked at fixing the zipper, it turns out the metal head of the zipper pull had fallen apart. There is no fixing it.

If it were possible, this review would have 3 1/2 stars.There is a lot to like about this pack, and I don't regret buying it. But some kind of netting to keep your back cool would be terrific. A whole star would have been taken off for this, but taking off the pack and carrying it over one shoulder (to let your back dry out) really is pretty darn comfortable, so 1/2 star off. But …What is with the zipper pulls for the main pocket? They feature eyes to put the lock (I don't care about) through to "secure" the main pocket. These regularly turn sideways and jam, making it really aggravating to zip, as the pull the zipper sideways. Which, as you can figure, makes a zipper basically not work. I'll be getting out the Dremel to cut these off. A whole star off for that. What an easy thing to have tested for!There aren't half stars, and once I alter the zipper pulls, I'll be pretty happy with this pack, so 4 stars.

I’ve been using this backpack for 3 years now. Still in great condition and plenty of compartments. Definitely good for people in school as well as carrying all your daily things to an office. I personally use it for my tech gear and drawing supplies. Note: the pockets on the side have elastic bands so they can hold your water bottles no problem. Couple of hidden pockets here and there as well. Good for keeping some important documents in. Solid bag for the price. Wish it came in different colors though

This is my second bag. The first was destroyed when I put it on a smelly hotel floor and I couldn't get the smell out. I have to carry three laptops for work and this bag handles them all with added compartments for accessories, umbrellas, files, power cords and chargers. The best part is that the bag is not bulky and has a slim profile even with all the stuff I have to carry around. I am often asked by women in particularr where I purchased, because it is not your typical oversized backpack.
