It was honestly pretty difficult to use. Having cleaned and oiled it, the jack now works like new and so it seemed a good idea to protect the sensitive moving parts in order to keep it working well for longer. The fit and finish of this item seem every bit as good as a more expensive model purchased by a friend of mine. Neither this nor my friend's cover will last forever, of course. Between the water, mud, and UV light they're constantly exposed to they will eventually break down and need replacement.
