**Q: Can these be bend at a right angle without cracking for outdoor use?**
A: Yes they can be bent at a right angle they are quite flexible, just bend them slowly.OK for outside as they are galvanized.

**Q: Does this come with screws?**
A: No. Just plates - no screws / fittings.

**Q: Are these strong enough to reinforce cracks in joists?**
A: When you consider that these are used for connecting two separate pieces of wood, and biggest plate (200x60mm) weights 176grams which is nearly half of the pound in weight, on the top of that you can put max 30 screws to it - using this plate to reinforcing cracks seems like overkill.  So yes, they will do the job.

**Q: Can I use these to extend my wooden fence post please, as I wish to higher fence but not keen on putting new post in**
A: I would not use these, would expect to fail to withstand the load e specially in winds, you can buy a metal post connector that fits on top of a post to achieve your objective which I did.

I bought a pack of these steel timber connectors for a garden bench project, and I’m really impressed. The plates are made of thick, durable steel with a clean galvanized finish that resists rust – perfect for outdoor use. The pre-drilled holes are spaced well and made installation super easy. I used standard wood screws and everything lined up perfectly. The flat design kept my joints flush and gave the structure a lot more strength than I expected.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy plates

The plates are good quality and sturdy. I used to repair a split in a wooden bed frame and were perfect for the job. Only criticism is that they are not cut completely square on the ends, so don't lay next to each other perfectly - but only talking a few millimetres so not particularly noticeable. Also the corners can be quite sharp if left exposed over an edge, so worth having a small metal file to smooth them off.
