Review: Topic: Gyroscopic - I have used the NSD Spinner for several weeks, so now feel comfortable sharing user experience. On a positive note, it is a unique little object that offers a bit of fun with conditioning benefits. This item kept "popping up" online, while researching exercise/therapy tools for recovery of broken arm. So, (in 4-5th month post break)..I've been using it about 5-10 min. per day. I do feel some subtle results in grip strength & flexibility, and for that it has been well worth the purchase. The tangerine sized spinner fits nicely in the hand & into my 30 min. daily routine. I also use light weights & "digi-flex" tools, (quite helpful for any possibly reading this, looking for self-help physical therapy). I paid more for the "autostart" feature, lacking coordination to use the "pull string" version. Autostart is a simpler way to get the interior ball/gyroscopic force going. You place thumbs on bottom of ball to "pull/wind" or create tension/resistance..something you readily feel, (not difficult), but you need enough push back to "set it spinning." You then must rotate your wrist & forearm to build up more speed & keep it going. While it is still spinning, you can easily switch the ball from one hand to the other, as one hand will tire..and you can go on this way without a restart..until hands, wrist, arm & fingers weary of the brief whirling workout. I found that moving your wrist in slow, steady paced, deliberate "stirring" circles is best, no need to get "frenzied" or overdo it. You can speed your movements if so desired, however, in "therapy mode," less is more. Note: The instructions provided with the NSD spinner were not that helpful. You can go to their website & view a tutorial if you like or are able to do so, (I could not). In summary, the added cost of the digital counter was not worth my hard earned pennies. I had thought it would be a good thing, because I imagined "harming" myself, if I didn't know how fast it was spinning..etc.. Rest assured, you can simply monitor the force by "feel." If you are more competitive or curious as to how fast you can get the ball spinning, by all means consider the counter. I do think it would be MORE fun to have the spinner that "lights up" & changes color! Unfortunately, I didn't see one offered that had BOTH led lights & autostart feature combo. So, you may want to look for that model, if/when it becomes available. Take care.
Review: Makes exercising your wrist and forearms fun - Of all the things I saw at CES, this was the only item I decided to buy. I actually found their competitor, DynaFlex Powerball first but decided to go with the NSD Spinner brand instead because it sounded like they were more on top of customer service. I also liked that they had an affordable wind up version that didn't require using the cord. You wind it up by turning the ball in the direction of the arrow (see picture attached, the arrow is embossed into the green part.) I'd read these kinds of balls were popular with rock climbers as a forearm exercise and it was fun to use, so I decided to give it a shot Pros: - Don't have to worry about losing a cord. You can take this thing with you anywhere and give it a spin. - Easy to use - I find myself picking this up while I'm watching TV or just walking around. - Helps with wrist / forearm pain - I have pretty bad pain from using the computer too much, and I found using the ball helped me stretch my forearms and hands and helped reduce the pain a lot - I can't validate, but when I have the ball spinning on high RPMS it takes a lot of effort to maintain my grip on the ball so I feel like I'm doing something to build up my strength. Cons: - If you have sweaty hands like I do, it's sometimes tough to wind up the ball - Very confusing lineup of options. I recognize in the end reading and taking note of the titles is super important. Here's an overview of the lineup - ~$20 : NSD Power Essential Spinner = regular ball, no counter to show rpms, no self starter, vibration free to 15,000 RPM ~$30 : NSD Power AutoStart Spinner Gyroscopic Wrist and Forearm Exerciser with Auto Start Feature = regular ball, no counter to show rpms, w/ self start, vibration free to 15,000 RPM ~$40 : NSD Power Winners Roll and Spin Spinner Gyroscopic Wrist and Forearm Exerciser with Digital LCD Counter and Auto-Start Feature = ball w/ rpm meter, w/self start, vibration free to 15,000 RPM **what I got** ~$50 : NSD Roll 'N Spin Rainbow Lit AutoStart Spinner Gyroscopic Wrist and Forearm Exerciser with AutoStart and Multi-Lit LED = = ball no counter to show rpm, w/ self starter, has LED lights that light up to different colours depending on how fast you're spinning, vibration free to 15,000 RPM ~$75 : NSD Power Winner's Precision Sterling Spinner Gyroscopic Wrist (SILVER COLOUR) = ball w/rpm meter, NO self starter. Vibration free to 15,000 RPM. Delivers more resistance than the plastic balls. Inertial resistance: 19kg at 10,000rpm (350Hz) 3.2kg at 10,000rpm (450Hz) "up to 41.3lbs" ~$75: NSD Power Ultimate Winner's Precision Sterling Spinner Gyroscopic Wrist (GOLD COLOUR) = ball w/rpm meter, NO self starter. Designed to deliver higher RPMS. Claims vibration free operation at up to 27,000 RPM. Overall, since these aren't expensive, it was worth it for me to try out. Update: I still love this ball but I recommend not leaving it anywhere really hot. Since I take this ball with me everywhere, I'd left it in the car overnight in the hot summer weather and I think the glue that held the grip band to the ball melted. Now I can't keep the rubber grip on the ball when I spin as easily.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well, takes some practice to use.
*by W***E on March 10, 2026*

Well made unit. Bought a cheaper version that was a bit flimsy and returned it. This takes a bit of practice to use but I'm getting the hang of it - definitely feel the effect in the arm and shoulder muscles.
