I messaged the guy who sells them and he said it would take the bulb fine as it was designed to be used with a 100 watt incandescent bulb which gets a lot hotter. Looks a little bulky, and doesn't fit every decor theme, but puts out tonnes of neutral/warm light. Easy to install in any E27 socket, but just be mindful that as the bulb is quite heavy, it may sag some gooseneck clamps. Puts out 500 to 1000 ppfd between 6 and 12 inches away from the bulb.
