I frequently make a simple rub of kosher salt, cracked black pepper, cayenne and garlic powder and I wanted to get a shaker so I can evenly apply it to meat and save myself from making the rub over and over. This is a good solution for that. It has three different pouring options; really thick, kinda thick, and narrow. Narrow doesn't work well for my purposes because the kosher salt doesn't seem to come out. The thicker options work really well for my purposes (I am almost always heavy handed with seasonings, so it works out). The only drawback is that closing it and shaking it results in some seasonings come out the sides, so you should mix it your spices together before adding it to the shaker.
