I narrowed it down to leaking fuel injectors after replacing both spark plugs and ignition coils. I replaced all 6 injectors and the car was running well for a couple days, however the misfire and problem came back. After rediagnosing at a BMW dealership it was narrowed down to the injector again. I reinstalled another injector in the cylinder and everything has been running perfect since.
