SO! Sure it would seem a propane tank can take pressure. Just not air pressure. There is a reason why they don't use and sell them for carrying and storage of compressed air. Had a friend that a propane tank converted for air storage opened up from the top while he was filling. He said he remembers looking at the gauge and it said about 75 to 80psi within seconds he said he remembers waking up in the ICU three days later. But this valve and gauge work and operate just fine. **Q: Will this work on a propane tank?** A: Hi, it's really a question of should you use it with propane. The answer is resounding NO. Only use properly rated metal pipes, hoses, fittings, gauges, regulators and other certified components when working with flammable gases. **Q: Can I unscrew the tire inflator and replace with a blow gun or something similar?** A: Yes - you could but it's a pain in the a## if you need them both. What I did was get a 2 foot hose with a female industrial (some people use the auto ones found at your local auto parts store) connector made up and screwed that in - then attached an air hose with the male on one end and the connector on the other (basically you are creating an extension). Then, to THAT you can insert either the tire infiltrator or the blow gun.
