The pieces are sturdy enough for my 8 year old but if you have a young child who will play roughly with the items, they will break. I purchased this play set for my 8 year old daughter. She loves it! The suitcase is more of a doll carry-on size, but it’s still super cute. The pieces are sturdy enough for my 8 year old but if you have a young child who will play roughly with the items, they will break. My older daughter bought this for my younger daughter as a gift before a road trip. My daughter said she loves all the mini pretend electronics. She said the suitcase interior is a little small to be able to store everything and only wishes the set came with a travel backpack for the doll. Otherwise both daughters love it.
