Messages from a universe I live in *by L***L on Reviewed in the United States on July 21, 2017* Finally!! I was first introduced to the "new age movement" in the late 1980's, and while I loved many of the ideas and principles, I was horrified by the classism and racism disguised as self-righteous entitlement. Yoko Akili has written a slender volume of meditations on many of these principles and ideas that is an antidote to that entitlement. It is a difficult path he walks, and he does it well.I especially like his Message From The Universe regarding abundance, which reads in part, "In order for us as a world to end economic inequality , we have to do both the inner work in our hearts, and the outer work in our societies. Until prosperity is present in both realities, poverty and lack will always persevere." YES!I wish this were a longer collection, but I am glad he did not wait to publish this until he had a larger collection. These are meditations we need today--there is no time to wait.
