I am not certain it is waterproof. I just had a motorcycle accident (literally a few minutes ago) while wearing this bag. It wasn't my fault, but bottom line is I flew over the handlebars, flipped and landed on my back and rolled. First of all, it absolutely saved my back, without it it would've been destroyed. Second, my laptop, charger and headphones are all COMPLETELY INTACT! And third, it only got a couple of very minor scratches after I cleaned off the debris from the asphalt, astounding... Can't recommend this bag enough.
