One it is a beautiful addition to my room. the glow that it gives off is sufficient to light the room with enough light so that when those midnight trips involving nature occur no additional lighting is required. that is important to me as I have been diagnosed with sleep insomnia on top of sleep apnea and not having to turn any other lights on helps me get back to sleep quickly. Because of this I cannot give an honest opinion on the effects of the heated stones and Ion exchange but it does help me sleep. The stones came individually packed and were sized so that there is maximum contact with the heat from the bulb but not falling through the wire mesh of the beautiful casing. Another bonus is it comes with an extra bulb.
