Are you kidding?** A: Actually, that should read 20 mils. Thank you for bringing the typo to our attention! **Q: What is the temperature range that the tape will survive?** A: The back of the package says 65F to 500F degrees. **Q: Does this contaminate the water it runs past? and at what amount? there must be tests/studies? since it's for water... right?** A: I really can't answer this question. I only had a small pin hole in a hose and it sealed it with no problem. That was a couple years ago and it is still holding. **Q: Is it reusable? Thank you!** A: Reusable to a point. The more you stretch it the less you will be able to use again. Also the adhesive will pick up dirt and debris which won’t help. I used it on a drain pipe I split while cleaning with a snake.
