Holds bikes securely and high enough off ground. Last bike rack we had needed an adaptor bar form women's bike. Bikes were too close to the ground so I had to take off one tire to transport and do all kinds of padding and straps. This Highland Rack requires none of that - would highly recommend it! The only other alternative is about $500, so I decided to give this a try. I drove from Philadelphia to Colorado with my bike on this rack, and the bike was absolutely fine. On the other hand, the rack shakes around a lot, and never really makes me feel like my bike is safe (even if it is). Also, the bike needs to be secured with long velcro straps, which take forever to put on and take off, and are easy to loose.
