The hands stay dry and the gloves are strong enough that they can be reused several times. So for that reason the price is not prohibitive. I use them mostly in the kitchen or when I am cleaning the house. Great for washing dishes because the hands stay dry. The are a bit snug. I ordered the Medium and they fit snuggly, but sometimes a snug fit is better than if they are too big, especially in the kitchen. I will probably continue to buy the Medium, though I would like to gat a sample of the large. :-) just to compare the fit.
