The arch is just right and it keeps your heel a bit supported. Plantar faciitis doesn’t bother me with these. They are lightweight and the buckles provide any necessary adjustment. The one drawback is I have been wearing these for a week and the color is cracking in places- will probably flake off eventually. Others have mentioned this problem, but I hoped mine would be ok. They were around $25 on Amazon so I will keep them. In their catalog they are $60.
