I added some weights to make it more stable. It handles beautifully! The water jet is cool. I just putted around the pond for an hour each time. I didn’t have any of the problems some people commented about. My Grandpa was a tugboat Captain. I’m loving it! ### ⭐ The tug boat that couldn't *by D***. on November 17, 2011* When this boat arrived, the battery was poor. I tested it on a thunder charger and it held less than half the mah it should have. I told Amazon and they kindly refunded me $8 as a result (they also gave me the option to return it, but I naively thought I could just get a new battery and then my son would be happy). Got a new battery, then it ran for a minute in the water before losing power. Took it apart, and discovered that the motor shaft was spinning inside a propeller shaft it wasn't properly secured to. Fixed that with the dremmel and a nub screw, and back to the lake. Then I discovered that the FM signal was intermittent, causing the boat to lurch as it got and lost the signal. It only kept the signal when it was within 10 feet of me. So I drove it around in circles, and it went nice and fast and the water canon sprayed nicely. My 3 year old son liked it a lot for a whole 3 minutes when I handed him the remote, until it lost power completely and smoke started coming out of it. Turns out it had taken on water, and then the motor short circuited, caught fire and melted the plastic bracket it sits in. Now it's my son's display tug boat.
