Especially on a non-smooth surface?** A: I recommend putting them on a smooth, painted surface. I applied them to my 2004 Nissan Xterra which has a plastic body strip on the side. The decal would not stick to that plastic strip at all so I had to cut out a 2 inch gap from the decal to fit over the plastic strip. That being said, while applying go very slow and only peel the backing from the immediate part you are applying to the surface. Use a rubber squeegie to help eliminate air bubbles. If you have a stubborn air bubble that you just can't squeeze out then use a pin to put a tiny hole in the middle of the bubble and use the squeegie again.
