**Q: Why are these called "floating" shelves? The whole point of floating shelves is the fixing brackets cannot be seen.**
A: a floating shelf should not show its fixing brackets.  I wouldn't regard this product as such. Nice shelves though.

A: You can see the brackets either way you use them so not floating as in the fixings are hidden

Very good quality for the price.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Decent but poor quality wood and marks , could’ve been better

The shelf looks okay once it’s up, but the quality of the wood is quite poor. The wood chips very easily when putting the screws in, and there were small black dot marks/holes on the surface which made it look cheap. But you pay for the price . The screws also don’t fit firmly into the wood they feel loose and don’t hold properly, probably because the material is very soft. It does the job, but I wouldn’t expect it to last long. Overall, it’s average and you get what you pay for.
