Review: Just the Right Size and Enough Heat - Not sure how helpful this review will be ... most people probably order this to cook in it ... I ordered it to melt wax in. I grow mushrooms and after you inoculate the log, you need to seal each hole with food grade wax. I got this little skillet to melt the wax and keep it at the right temperature. It worked just great for that! You can see the skillet in the picture, just to the left of the saw buck. I put 3 soup cans in the skillet, added some of the hard wax to each can, filled the skillet with water and then set the temp to 300 degrees. It did a nice job of melting the wax and keeping it at just the right temperature. Every so often, I'd have to add more water, since it was slowly boiling off. The thermostat seemed to hold a really consistent temperature. I think this would be a nice little skillet for cooking!
