My kids are 13 & 11..too old?** A: I’m the Grammy and I purchased it for my grandson. My understanding is that all of the lego Mario sets can connect together. There is a “digital” (?) Mario that comes with the starter set. There are places on each lego set that function like the video game. For example, if the child moves the Mario along throughout the lego game and jumps on the brick, lands on the tube tunnel things, or the snapper flowers it gives them extra powers, lives, etc to continue through the game. Again, this is my understanding based on what my six year old grandson explained.
