The guitar is shifted to my right, the fingerboard in better position for viewing with less stress on my neck. Additionally, I think the shift to the right has eased stress on my right shoulder blade area. I've noticed, in general, a lessening of soreness in neck (particularly left side), right shoulder and lower back. The guitar feels reasonably secure after getting used to it. I'd say it's a little more clumsy to use than a footstool but the benefits are good. Cushion appears well-made and durable. It's good to have both feet securely on the floor. I'd add that another accessory, the Abel right arm rest, helps considerably, too, to make practicing better. The cushion is non-invasive and not otherwise attached to the guitar, in contrast to various frames and straps. As a beginner, I recommend this cushion. Oh, I'd add that I'm giving more attention to my posture, and that has helped. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars A great idea plagued by compromise *by M***O on Reviewed in the United States on February 11, 2017* The pad is in fact in polyurethane--not leather, as the seller purports. The idea is great--much better than the foot-stools or suction-cup supports, and the device is very affordable; however, this excellent idea was not perfectly implemented. For grown-up guitarists, the pad should be longer, with a less acute angle or slope, and the adhesive strap underneath, wider and greatly expanded. Short and lacking adhesion as it is, the pad is not extremely stable and has a tendency to slip on common fabrics, such as denim. This great, practical idea has evidently been the victim of some decisions made in committee, and too many compromises were made. In my opinion, to be more widely accepted, such a pad should be longer and adhere more intimately to the thigh....I has been a few weeks now, and the cushion is still what I use most! However, I still would like to see it a bit wider, and with a slightly wider upper curvature--so that it would better correspond to the curvature of the instrument. The adhesive strip on the bottom is by now even less adhesive than it was at the beginning... The cushion slips too easily, and lacks long term stability. This being said, the benefits of this device for the guitarist's posture are undeniable... No more torsion, no back aches. I am hoping that, soon, this, or another manufacturer will produce a better cushion--one able to confer the true stability and adhesion to the guitar--and the thigh--this one is lacking. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Firm but unstable *by D***S on Reviewed in the United States on January 28, 2020* During the 50 years that I have been playing the classical guitar, I have tried a variety of supports. Guitar cushions are not new. Like others, this one elevates the guitar to the proper position. However, since it has no strap, it is requires constant repositioning. (I will probably add a strap using velcro.) And like other cushions, it squeaks. (Squeaking can be reduced by putting a cloth between the cushion and instrument.)So far the best support that I have found is one made by Sagework, which uses strong magnets that must be glued to the inside of the guitar.
