She loved them the minute they came out of the box. They are sturdy and colorful and she is able to work them. Well worth the money. She already had so many girly toys that these were different. People need to learn to read the box things come in. It tells you on the box that each truck works differently. These are so cute, especially with the mouths that move. I know he will love them. Several reviewers have complained that the pullback or friction features don’t work, but as shown in the description and also on the side of the box, they are each designed to work differently. One is a free-wheel truck, where you push it to make it roll. One is friction-powered, where you roll the front wheels on the floor a couple times and it takes off. To make the third truck roll, you pull it backwards a couple of times and let it go.
