I did find that once the chain comes out of the hot wax and starts to harden it can be difficult to remount the chain. This is because the wax can clog the spaces between the links and can cause some slippage when changing gears. That was the first time I used the was. The next time - I had 3 chains to clean - I wiped the chain down lightly as it came out of the hot wax while it was still hot and that made a big difference avoiding the clogging issue. Waxing the chain with the Silca Mystery wax was the best thing I ever did for my chain. It is so quiet and does not pick up road grime as with other lubricants. After a ride use a microfiber cloth and run the chain through it a couple turns and you will take off surface dirt- and be amazed at how clean the cloth remains.
