From desertcart I also purchased a 3000psi 80 cf stainless scuba tank, a Ninja Paintball scuba fill station that fit this k type valve, and a 34" fill whip hose extension for ease of gun placement during filling. I was able to precisely fill my .22 marauder to the psi I wanted. I chose 2800 psi and used crosman premier hollow-points. I put an old weaver steel .22 scope on it and it cleared the rotary clip fine. I fired two shots through just about the same hole high 1" right 2". Adjusted the scope fired two more shots in the same hole dead on at 30 yards. The gun is quiet! More so than the CB shorts I have used in my .22 rimfire rifle. There was a squirrel 3 ft from my target while I was firing and it just kept milling around. I dispatched it with a head/brain shot, but just like on youtube's squirrel channel videos it makes them flail though instantly lethal. To pump it to 2500 psi is not too hard. From 2500 to 3000 takes a fair amount of effort. You will want to push down putting the handle at your belt line and come down with all your weight to get it to the bottom. You can do it, just saying that the effort is a lot more pronounced from 2500 to 3000. It takes about 90 pumps to go from 2000 to 3000 and about 50 pumps from 2500 to 3000. Don't pump more than 50 strokes at a time. Let the O-rings cool off otherwise you will melt the O-rings and then you will have to re-build the pump replacing the O-rings.When you do burn up the O-rings (and you will) you can order a re-build kit from Sun Optics USA (the makers of the pump) for about $6.00, you can look them up on the web. You can find directions for the procedure on youtube. Most people will tell you to lube the O-rings with silicon grease. Do not use silicon grease, use Nuvair 455, you can order it on the web from Nuvair Corporation. One quart will last forever and will work much better than silicon grease.I am not trying to talk you out of buying the pump. It is a well made pump that manages to compress a lot of air in a small amount of space. I decided to take the plunge into PCP and got a .22 caliber Marauder. Was worried when it arrived with zero pressure until I read the accompanying notice which indicated the rifle was de-gassed and shipped that way due to shipping restrictions. I also read where the factory had pressure checked the Marauder for 72 hours and fired it several times to check barrel accuracy, the test target showing the shot grouping was included. After pressurizing and setting the rifle up I moved to my outdoor target range to sight my Tasco 3-9x40mm scope in at 25 yards using a soft bench rest. Once sighted in, the Marauder consistently fired shot after shot through the same hole only slightly enlarging it. I changed from using nickle sized targets to pea sized and still never missed a single shot. Quiet, deadly accurate and consistent, what more could you ask for? Definitely the most backyard friendly (quiet) air gun I've owned. I bought a hand pump for pressurizing the rifle and am still glad I did. From 0psi to 3000psi required several hundred pumps, but I just did about forty at a time before taking a break so it wasn't strenuous. I get forty shots with the .22 caliber Marauder before the pressure gauge drops near 2000psi. Refilling from 2000psi back up to 3000psi takes about eighty or so pumps. At six feet tall and 180lbs pumping is pretty easy for me, I just use my weight for the down-stroke. For someone much lighter than me, hand pumping might be more difficult. If i enjoyed target shooting or "plinking" and was shooting all the time, I'd get an electric pump but I'm not a hobbyist, I'm just interested in pest control. I might need to top the rifle off once or twice a month on average. I left the rifle unused and fully charged for several days with zero pressure loss.
