Sometimes, it wouldn't be closed all the way (but it would look closed) and just sit a tiny bit open overnight. There is no built-in alarm on our fridge, so I ordered this item. I have it on the freezer pull-out drawer, and it has worked well. We have a smaller home and we can hear the alarm from across the house. This has already saved us a handful of times and paid for itself. It was easy to install and has stayed in place well.

**Q: wont sound when fridge stays open, thats why I got it, how do I get it to alert me if the door doesn't get shut ?**
A: Hi, if you hear a Beep when you switch ON,  then it's not related to batteries, it may be caused by the distance between alarm and the mini sensor. We recommend placing the alarm and the mini sensor 0.60 inches apart; Fridggi emits a low volume beep when you exceed the allowed gap. Open/close the door a few times to check you hear the low beep, before peeling off the double sided tape.

A: Hi, Alarm dimenstions;  width =1.2 inch, height = 2.5 inch,  thickness = 0.78 inch / Mini Sensor dimensions; width =0.39 inch, height = 1.37 inch,  thickness = 0.51 inch. FRIDGGI can be used for a maximum gap of 0.6 inches between alarm and sensor.

**Q: how do i get extra adhesive strips ?**
A: Buy double sided adhesive tape at a hardware.

**Q: Can you change the time to less than 60 seconds?**
A: Short answer is no. It beeps once after 60 seconds, 2x after 2minutes, then a continuous alarm at 3 minutes. It’s so loud I usually have no issue with shutting it quickly-don’t want to hear it!

So far works great! I recently had a TOTAL loss of everything in a completely full deep freeze..it was HORRIBLE!! The door was barely open a crack and we even walked by it for a day and a half until we discovered it. I knew I needed something after losing hundreds of dollars of food. I read the reviews and liked the price point so I thought I would try it. The alarm is subtle at first and keeps getting louder and each minute. I can even hear it at the 3 and 4 minutes mark in the House. Which was the point since the deep freeze is in the garage. So far definitely worth it..my situation freaked by girlfriend out so much about all the loss of food that she bought one to prevent it from happening to hers. Would recommend. Just not sure how long the battery lasts
