My child wears hats willingly, and this is her favorite. It stays on, has good neck coverage and a wide, long brim. It’s a tad difficult at the beach (windy) but it’s still her preferred hat. She can wear in a carseat and on (child) amusement park rides & stroller bc of the flat back - she prefers this to her REI and her O.R. sun hats that have a brim all the way around. It’s comparable to her Sunday Afternoon hat but this brim is even better. She’ll wear the Sunday Afternoon hat if the UV index isn’t insufferably high. This one provides nice side coverage over her ears and a but more to the side of her face.
