I ordered the XL and I'm glad I did. If you're in doubt at all about a size being too small, size up. If you're anywhere above size 12 this probably won't work for you. The way the loop closure is on the buttons, if there's any tension on that part you're going to be showing what lay beneath. Unless you're into that, then go on 👏it would be cute with a cami under and the top left unbuttoned. It's short enough that I will always wear it as a tunic with leggings or bike shorts, which I expected. I'm 5'5", if you're shorter it could be a better length for you as a dress.I love the fabric, that smooth thin cotton. The orange color is vibrant and the stitching seems great. I've hand washed it and will wear it tomorrow after it air dries. These photos clearly show a dress with a ruffle or flounce sewn to the bottom. The dress I received does not have that, it is straight from the high-waist, down. That said, the dress is adorable, soft, very comfortable and I will keep it. I ordered a large, even though I usually get medium or sometimes small, so it fits perfectly. I rated it as "too small" even though it fit as I expected, but I only expected it to fit this way because everyone said to order a size or 2 up. Make sense? Anyway, if you want a dress with a ruffled bottom, don't get this one.
