Review: It works. - This key does work with 2nd Gen SKS and you will be able to program with an original key. You will still need to go to a locksmith to have emergency key cut. Much cheaper than buying OEM and having someone or dealer program for you.
Review: Perfect shell, amazing price. That’s great value. - This Key Fob shell worked perfectly for my 2008 Prius, works the exact same as my original fob before I replaced the shell, even fits perfectly into the insert slot in the Prius! All lock buttons continue to have full functionality. I also carved out a recessed spot to glue in the old Toyota logo (not required for use, just a fun touch- does require substantial effort to do so) This fob is built very durably, I dropped it while putting it together and no issues whatsoever. It looks clean and fresh. The shipping was super fast as well. When transferring the innards of the old fob, be sure to transfer the chip, circuit board, battery, the rubber seal from battery opening, and physical key. If you’re unsure of how to do any of this, go ahead and watch a video on YouTube, there are plenty. Also you’ll have to physically break open your OEM key fob in order to access the parts since the original’s halves are glued together. Also I’d recommend adding a little piece of the plastic bag to the corner where the light is in the corner to block the hole from dust and grime.

**Q: Will it works same as my old FOB did if only take all the parts out of my old FOB and put them in this one?**
A: Yes. It will do nothing different than what your old FOB did but look brand new.

**Q: What if the key shells don't snap together when installing?**
A: Key shell installation requires placing the internals in the correct position, then aligning the two parts, snapping one side first, then the other. Fastening on both sides at the same time is likely to fail to install successfully .

**Q: What should I do if the button signal is not sensitive after the key case is installed?**
A: It is possible that the chip is not installed tightly enough to cause poor contact. It only needs to be reinstalled to align the internal components with the contacts on the button and fix it.

**Q: Does this key fob case include screw parts?**
A: This key contains 4 small screws. If you have received a product with missing parts, please request a replacement directly.

This worked on Prius 2 (2007) with "smart key" option. Ordered the "with chip" version for $66. WARNING - included battery was dead, but I had fresh CR2032 handy. Easy to change. Carefully followed included Engrish instructions (need original, working key) and success! Could use some editing but was easy enough to understand. This new key from Amazon works for key-less entry (and locking) and ignition! Original key still works too. Dealer wanted like $300 and needs to see title in my name. Hardest part was finding a key cutter to copy the metal emergency-access key. Home Depot now has fancy computerized key duper that refused to do mine. Found kiosk with a tracer/grinder machine, but he wanted $35 for the 5-min process. Locksmiths listed as “nearby” were all mobile who will come to my address, for only $150ish! Finally got lucky with Strosniders / Ace hardware who still had an old-style duplicator machine. Took forever to convince them I’d already done the “programming” and just needed the metal key cut. Done for $7. Works! Total cost under $100. Plus half-day chasing duplicator.
