It's a necessary piece of medical equipment, so I would think it would be failsafe. But - it's actually very hard to use. I've had a hard time getting the clip part to come out of the enclosed part! This is tricky, because the clip has to fit together snugly, but this is ridiculous. I have had to use a pair of pliers to pull the little clip out and one of them broke in the process. I bought these becasue Hollister, apparently to cut costs, began making theirs with cheap plastic that broke and fell apart quickly. I thought these would be tougher, but be careful what you ask for. Just be aware. Otherwise, they are just a clip and if you use one, you know what they're for. Good luck!
