**Q: Does the white remain white? Or it gets easily dirty?**
A: The white surface is shiny and and does not get easily dirty. And if gets dirty of dirty fingers you can just wipe it off with a little damp cloth and dish soap.But the surface does not stand hard scratches from a tool or for a long time with keys in your pocket. The quality of the pen is great. I have five.

A: I have no idea what oil based means in regards to this pen. It appears to be regular plastic to me.

A: It is a small piece that keeps it from rolling if you place it on a counter or flat surface.
