This is I think so-called “queen size”. The idea of these blankets is that for some specific groups of people (including but not limited to those on the autistic spectrum or who have cPTSD) may find the gripping/squeezing sensation all over the body to be somewhat relaxing or will at least counter-act feelings of anxiety. It’s not a miracle in a box, it won’t make everyone feel like they’ve taken 6 Valium but for those of us in that specific group, it may have some effect.I felt immediately like I’d just been hugged - the endorphin-y sensation. After a while I forgot about how heavy it was until I tried to move it and got a surprise!
