It's really more designed to pad things, like put into the bottom of a toolbox drawer to stop tools from rattling around. I used it on some bass amplifiers, to keep the feet on the amp from digging into the vinyl covering on the cabinets. It also has open "grooves" in the material (alternating between the padded parts) so it would not insulate very well I would think. Is it a secret society of sponge cells that don’t talk to outsiders? A foam version of a VIP club where only certain bubbles get to hang out?
