Please note though that no matter what tuner you buy, if it is set to concert pitch (440Hz A / piano tuning) you will want to transpose the notes from Bb (tenor) or Eb (alto) to concert pitch when tuning your saxophone. In other words when you play a C on a tenor saxophone it is a Bb in concert pitch. For alto a C is an Eb in concert pitch. There are some very expensive turners that you can change the tuning from concert pitch to other pitches but they are a waste of money since transposing is not difficult. Make a chart or download one if you struggle at first.
