I followed the directions in the video to measure for a proper fit and my donkey was right between size medium and large. I chose the large. The nose area is a perfect fit as is the strap for over the poll. I can buckle at either the smallest setting or the next one down. I’m glad to have this halter for her now. I’m able to make rope halters myself, but feel more comfortable knowing she can wear a web halter instead; this way, if she does pull hard, there’s far less chance of injury to her. Well made - yes it is a bit expensive - but the maker has incurred the expense of building a web halter for a size that differs from a pony or horse’s build. I think it’s fair to expect to pay more for a specialty item. The only thing I’d suggest is to offer an option to choose a cotton lead rope rather than the nylon. I prefer cotton over nylon lead ropes. That said, though, I’m very happy with the halter and so glad to have had the opportunity to purchase it.
