Step 1 Blot the area affected by the vinegar if it is still damp. If it’s dry, wet it. Use a clean, white cloth. Didn't do much for the carpet and some of it remained in the carpet after vacuuming twice, luckily I have a light carpet so it doesn't notice too much and is gradually going.
