I felt a pop and briefly had no rear brakes until I pumped the caliper pistons out quickly with the brake lever. I was going down Mt Wilson Trail and lucky they failed after a 20 minute stop at Echo Mountain House, heading out on a upward portion (they could not have been hot and didn't feel hot when trying to fix them). I weigh 170lbs and have a 2015 Giant Anthem (SLX components). There is no good reason the pad failed the way they did, at least in my mind. ### ⭐⭐ My rear rear brakes whine horribly when used *by S***B on June 5, 2017* Pads are very noisy. Front brakes don't whine but make a rough, grindy noise like they are worn out but I have removed and checked them and they have plenty of pad still left. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Comparable to OEM but did not include cotter pins *by T***. on July 2, 2016* Quality: Braking power and life under varied conditions is comparable to OEM product but at a better price point. However, the sets I received did not include the cotter pin that secures the pads into the brake caliper. Not a big deal if you reuse them but the the pins can only be reused so many times before they break and need to be replaced.
