The clasp that closes the laceslike it but it's not worth th hassle to return it so I'm using them. I only have use of one hand so elastic shoe laes are a neccessity. I have tried most of the available opotions and these are by far the best by design and quality! The clasp that closes the laces is very secure. I have had problems with others when the laces start slipping. Once installed, there's no opening it up to tighten or loosen them, you cut th e ends off so exercise extreme caution before trimminging. There has been no slippage and I've work them for two weeks now.
