The controller/receiver works well and stays connected, the strips of lights are bright and nice, but ***** THE RECEIVER MAKES A HORRIBLE HIGH PITCH SOUND.***** I'm super sensitive to high pitches, so this is just miserable for me. The stand-alone controller that you can buy separately works beautifully, no sound from that one, but the black, square one that comes with the light strips is just terrible. Might not be bad for other people, but I bought 3 sets thinking maybe the first was just a fluke when it started making that noise. Nope, that's what they do. 3 out of 3, so I doubt they are the exception. Unfortunate that I found out 10 days after the return period.
