Overall it was a good deal but I could see why whoever got it before me returned it. The parts and instructions did not match, and there were flaws that interfered with assembly. For instance, the instructions said use "3" such and such bolts and nuts, and the parts list for that particular bolt listed "1" bolt. When the package was delivered nuts and bolts were dripped out of the box, and while I suspect a bolt was lost (only suspect because the required bolt was not in the parts list) I did get all the nuts, bolts, and washers necessary for assembling the structural components. A couple of bolts would not insert initially because the bottom mesh welds obstructed the bolt holes and had to be filed. I was missing one 45 mm bolt for the end plate and had two longer bolts left over.Pros:Substantial, should hold up better than my previous more expensive rackFolds up behind my KIA Sorento (previous rack would not fold because it didn't clear the bumper)Not difficult to assemble in spite of the poor instructionsCons:The end plate reduces ground clearanceRack fit to hitch is a little sloppy, further reducing ground clearance ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.9 Stars!! *by A***3 on Reviewed in the United States on June 27, 2016* Would be 5 stars but the paper assembling instructions are ambiguous; hard to follow; unclear font print and small diagrams. I had to assume some things to complete; took about 30 minutes; had one bolt left over.But I love the product and recommend highly. Full disclosure: this is the only cargo rack I've ever owned and have only used it once on a 2008 Cadillac Escalade. Very rigid & durable, quality powder coating, fairly light and easy to operate. The fold up option works nicely. Lastly, the frame sticks out far enough out from the hitch that you can stand between your vehicle and the frame to easily access your hatch. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ BUY THIS CARGO RACK! (from someone else) *by S***N on Reviewed in the United States on October 22, 2016* A couple of things you need to know before you buy this:1 - The cargo rack gets 5 stars, but the seller gets 1 star. Overall experience = 3 stars. The seller has one job - take the product off the shelf and hand it to the FedEx guy when he shows up. The seller failed. I paid for 2-day shipping and it didn't arrive until the 4th day. Not FedEx's fault - the seller waited until the 2nd day to send it off.2 - The instructions are not as far off as others have indicated, but it will take some common sense to put this together. It's not as difficult as putting together an Ikea "Fleurghenstsalger". Read the instructions through and look at the pictures before you start. Make sure you have all the parts first and wait until the very last bolt is in before tightening everything down. If you tighten as you go, the last few bolts will not easily fit.3 - You are going to need a 17mm, 19mm, and an adjustable wrench to put it together. Sockets will work, too.4 - The cargo rack is sturdy, heavy, and fits together tightly - but you have to remember to tighten all the bolts. It didn't shake or rattle in the up or down position.5 - As stated in the description, it does not come with a hitch pin. You'll need a standard 5/8" hitch pin, which you can get at most auto parts places. While you're out getting the hitch pin, you may want to pick up some reflective tape or stick-on reflectors to make hauling this a little safer.In conclusion, absolutely buy this product!
