The lack of sun is due to our climate. **Q: How long has it remainder in place?** A: I only put it up about a week and a half ago. So far so good. Just use plenty of soapy water and ensure that the surface you are applying it to is cleaned thoroughly beforehand. I put a drop of washing up liquid in a spray jar with water, gave it a shake, and ensured the entire surface was well covered. I used the d-c-fix application to smooth out the bubbles. The film slips around quite freely, but once dried out it works really well. NOTE: On my first attempt, I didn't use enough water and the glass wasn't as clean as it should have been, as a result the film began to drop after an hour or so. Hope this helps. **Q: How big are the squares? are they rainbow effect in colour or are they grey as it is hard to tell from the pictures?** A: Hi Dave, the squares are about 1.7 CM *1.7 CM big. When the sun shines through the film there will be a rainbow effect, in now normal lighting it just appear as regular semi transparent colour. Best to have 2 people to apply, it goes on well (clean window first, dry with paper towel to collect chemical residue before spraying with water, for best results).
