I had a cockatiel that was completely yellow with red cheeks named Elvis. He was the first bird I ever owned. He spent a lot of time with my mom while I was in school so she bonded with him a lot. I had to leave to another state for school for a year, and my parents came to visit me and we were all going to fly home together. So my mom had a neighbor take care of Elvis for her while she came to get me. This neighbor was negligent, and said Elvis had gotten out of his cage and flew away out of her open door....while she was vacuuming his cage. We were so angry at her, and distraught that we would never see him again. We even believe she may have kept him for herself. But we never saw him again....and it destroyed my mom. I plan to gift this plushy to her; and I expect she will cry just as I did, to hold it and see it. Elvis will always be in our hearts.
