Spray directly onto boots, socks and trousers Shirt. Let dry. It does smell a bit BUT it also stops tics. I spray on boots/socks. Alas not 100% and I have found ticks on shoulders and behind the knee. I've also watched ticks drop off my Lab when he gets in the van, literally 5-6 off his head. He gets the jab from the vet but the vet wont jab me ! I spoke directly with Amazon HQ and I can buy Sawyers Permethrin insect repellent directly to my UK house now. Keeps everything washed with it tic free for 6 weeks and 6 washes. If you value your health keep out of woods and fields or use a proper heath preserving treatment. Tic bites can destroy your heath quickly..and permanently.
