Product description Vgate A12 Battery Terminal 8AWG up to 4/0(XL) AWG Gauge for SAE/DIN/EN Tapered Top Post Vgate Lead Acid Battery Terminal Clamps, 8AWG up to 4/0(XL) AWG Gauge, 12-Way Connectors for SAE/DIN/EN Tapered Top Post V gate battery terminals are machined from 6061 aluminum. In addition to high precision, it also has high toughness and good corrosion resistance. Application for the Following Batteries Battery Type : Lead Acid Batteries ( AGM , GEL , WET , MF and CA/CA ); or Lithium batteries (Need to purchase the Stud to Post Adapter additionally.) Tapered Post Type : SAE , DIN , EN (But JIS Pencil Post Not Included). (NOTE: For lithium batteries, you will need to purchase the Stud to Post Adapter additionally.) Battery Voltage : 48V, 36V, 24V, 12V, 6V Battery for : Car, Caravan, Motorhome, RV, Bus, Truck, Pickup, Houseboat, Motorcycle, Forklift, Crane, Solar Power Bank and more others. 12-Way Connectors: 6 x Hole-Holders and 6 x Threaded Studs. Vgate battery terminal 6-hole holders exactly to hold 00 (2/0) AWG welding cable, and also can hold other gauge cables: 1/0AWG, 2 AWG, 4 AWG, 6 AWG, 8 AWG and so on, but the size of holders are bigger than the above-mentioned gauges. 6 x threaded studs to connect ring terminals (cable lugs); the size of studs are 8mm to be suitable for the following eyelet of ring terminals 1/2”, 3/8” and 5/16”; or 12mm, 10mm, 8mm. The above-mentioned ring terminals (cable lugs) to crimp large-scale gauge cables as following 4/0(XL) AWG, 4/0AWG, 3/0AWG, 2/0AWG, 1/0AWG, 2AWG, 4AWG, 6AWG, 8AWG and so on. NOTE: This product does not contain the cable lugs shown in the picture. Installation Precautions and Tightening Tips For a secure connection between the terminal clamp and battery posts, follow these key steps Install to the widest bottom of the post – Battery posts are tapered (narrower on top, wider at the base). Press the clamp fully down to the widest bottom, not the upper part. Do NOT use anti‑corrosion washers – They lift the clamp, preventing full contact with the post base and causing false tightness. Let the clamp directly touch the metal surface. If the clamp cannot be tightened in one go – Fully loosen (or remove) the hex screw → Press the clamp back to the post bottom → Retighten. This releases internal stress for effective clamping. Prevent short circuits – When using metal tools, avoid touching both positive/negative posts or vehicle ground. Install positive first, then negative, and use insulating covers for unconnected terminals. Important Notice (for SAE / EN / DIN Posts) Compatibility: For SAE, DIN, EN tapered top posts only. Not for JIS pencil‑type posts. Key reminder about Allen key handle length The high‑strength clamp requires sufficient torque to tighten properly. Always use a long‑handle Allen key (as shown). Short handles cannot provide enough leverage and may damage the screw or wrench. Extend the handle (e.g., with a metal pipe) for more tightening force if needed. Drive with Confidence, Connection Secured: When installed correctly as instructed (clamp fully seated, screw tightened), our terminal clamps stay firmly secured to the battery—whether for city commuting or long-distance driving, they won't loosen or fall off. Note: This product does not include the Allen key shown in the image. Package Contents - 1 × Positive terminal clamp (for post bottom size 19.5 ± 0.4mm) - 1 × Negative terminal clamp (for post bottom size 17.9 ± 0.4mm) Installation steps by post condition Unworn posts (intact, standard size) Slide clamp onto post, ensuring it seats fully at the bottom (widest part). Tighten hex screw without shaking the clamp. If not tight in one go: fully loosen screw → press clamp to bottom → retighten. If still not tight: extend hex wrench handle for more torque (clamp jaw is strong – normal to need sufficient force). Worn posts (reduced diameter from long‑term use or oxidation) Also press clamp all the way to the post bottom. Do NOT use anti‑corrosion washers (they reduce contact area). If not tight in one go: fully loosen/remove hex screw → press clamp to bottom → retighten firmly. For severely worn posts (especially older vehicle positive posts), install a lead or copper terminal spacer to fill gaps, prevent wobble, and avoid thread stripping. Always avoid short circuits between positive and negative terminals.

Review: Huge Upgrade - I ordered these for my SUV (Nissan Xterra). The original terminals were old and a corroded mess, and I knew they would need replacing. However, I was looking ahead at things I wanted to do in the future, such as adding high output light rails, car stereo amps, and other modifications. These seemed like the perfect option. Alone, they are high quality, solid terminals that seem like they will last forever. Alternatively, they have the ability to easily accept any additional electrical equipment I want to add, all while looking great doing it. When they arrived, I was impressed at how well they are made. They are cut as solid pieces of metal; there are no seams or weak areas to crack. The surface is smooth and the markings are clear and bright. The holes are clearly cut and the hardware is polished and heavy. The screws lock down and bite nicely; there is no fear of them loosening or coming apart. When I installed them, I was very impressed with how solidly they attached to the clamps. I've seen some install photos where these terminals are placed with the bottoms along the battery top; this is okay, but not needed. They clamp down onto the battery posts and will not come off when tightened down properly (see my photos). If you are a car stereo enthusiast, then these terminals should be right at the top of your list. They take up to zero Guage wire and can handle anything you throw at them, while looking totally badass when you pop your hood to show everyone your upgraded wiring job. These will also easily accomodate the "big 3" or "big 4" upgrade. If you are into off-roading, RV-ing, or overlanding, then this would also be a worthwhile upgrade. This can accept tons of additional power and ground wires, so you can add lights, pumps, articulating arms, power inverters...anything can be wired in tightly with the multitude of attachment points. It can also be used to organize cluttered wiring. The only issue that could be raised is the fact that it uses hex nuts to attach to the battery posts (also for some of the wire attachments). Normally, you can remove a battery terminal with a small 10mm socket or a pair of pliers. That will not work on these terminals. You need to have the proper hex key to loosen it. It would only present an issue in emergencies, such as a dead battery on a trip or something. I just threw an extra correct size key in the glove box if it's ever needed. Overall, I am very impressed. I will provide an update after a few months. I want to see how well the attachments hold, and to see how if corrosion is an issue.
