I'm 5'6", 138lbs, small bust and long torso. I ordered the large and it gives the relaxed fit I was hoping for without being oversized or baggy looking. A medium would have likely been a smidge short in the rise (crotch to bib) length. No one wants to be pulling out wedgies all day. There is a fair amount of stretch to the fabric. With the amount of distressing on the front of the legs I would say these are not suitable as "work" overalls, but definitely super cute accessorized for casual outings. I do kind of wish the distressing wasn't quite as severe. While it's cute, I suspect that after repeated washings the distressing will continue to fray and get larger. We'll see. Overall I'm pleased with this purchase. They'll be fun with t-shirts, birkenstocks and addidas for a casual, bohemian vibe.
