There are 2 speeds - low and high.It does have a strong vibration to your hand when you have it on, but can't get away from that.The battery cover rattled at times, so I put an elastic (not rubber) band around it to secure the batteries.The Infrared Red LED light is an added feature, emitting a low warm temp.I put the massager in a tube sock to use on my head when I have a head ache to lessen the vibration, feels good.Relaxes the tension in my neck and shoulders as well. It can be used where ever you need it. I hope to get long term use from this Mini Massager.
