Finally at the end the reader is treated to some poems and songs dealing with death.papa Ghede is one of the principals of the dead. He is also one of the lustiest and raunchiest of the Loa. It is meant to show that Thanatos and Eros are firmly connected. The Ghede are the dead who died unbsptised or angry. They still roam around the earth. Was this a rough draft that got published by mistake? In the FIRST PARAGRAPH OF THE INTRODUCTION (pg. 14) the first six lines are copy/pasted twice! Line for Line, in the first paragraph! How do you publish this? Seriously! The next page has Latin that is only partially right. "Pulvis et umbra sumus" is a FAMOUS quote from Horace, and the author writes "pulvis AND umbra sumis".. AND? You couldn't look up "ET"? It's not like you're being expected to manage the declensions and conjugations... it's the word AND. Though, that said, she also spelled "sumus" incorrectly. 4 word quote, easily checked, and you made 2 mistakes...in four words. The only saving grace (The only reason I'm not demanding a refund) is that the book is a collection of various works from multiple writers.
