The cats love it. Review: Works great! - I have fostered many cats over the years but when I took in 1 year old Benny, he proved to be more rambunctious and destructive than I was used to. The first day I came home from work, I walked in on what I can only describe as a mini tornado that rampaged throughout the house. I had to close him in the laundry room when I wasn't home but wanted him to still be able to climb up high which he seems to love to do. There wasn't room for a cat tree so when I discovered this item which hangs from the door, I decided to try it. Full disclosure, I did go with a used one which was cheaper because if Benny managed to destroy it, at least I wouldn't be out as much money. It came with no instructions but literally is so easy to assemble I probably wouldn't have needed them anyway. Even with Benny helping me, it took less than a minute to hang on the door and he loved it instantly. He climbs to the top, hangs off of it, jumps and climbs up the side and even tries to chew on it and I am very pleased to say it is holding up very well to his antics. I'm trying to hang it on the side of a bunk bed** A: It's about 70 inches I think. But I'm not entirely sure if it would work on the side of a bunk bed. I imagine the bottom cubby will be nearly on the ground. I can't imagine how stable it would be on the side of a bunkbed either. She didn’t use the one I had before at all, which went to another home and is loved by another cat. When I got this it took her almost a week to figure it out. But I started by putting treats and her favorite toys in the bottom layer. Now she loves when I put her toys at the top and she can bat them all the way down. I also think she really likes that she can be inside of it and peer out from the holes. And it’s a safe place away from the dog to get treats. It does make some creaking noises when she jumps in or out of it that I had to get used to (part of this is likely because the door isn’t the most sturdy). But overall I love that it doesn’t take any floor space and she can get so much vertical space out of it. I thought it was extremely easy to set up. My cat is on the small side, so not sure how well it would do long term jumping on it with a bigger cat.
